驻汤加使馆—汤中友协助学金颁发仪式暨上海海洋大学和中国政府奖学金赴华留学生欢送会成功举办

    On 16 August, the Chinese Embassy in Tonga held Combined Award Ceremony of the PRC Embassy & TCFA High School Scholarships and Pre-Departure Ceremony for SHOU & Chinese Government Scholarship Recipients.H.E. Mr. Liu Weimin, Chinese Ambassador to Tonga, Prime Minister Hon. Hu’akavameiliku, members of TCFA, scholarships winners students with their parents and teachers attended this event.

    刘大使在讲话中表示，教育对个人成长成才、国家发展进步发挥重要作用。中共二十届三中全会明确提出要深化教育综合改革，为建设高质量教育体系指明了发展方向，也将为中汤教育合作提供更多机遇。刘大使勉励学生们勤奋学习，为汤加经济社会发展和中汤友好事业做出贡献。

    Ambassador Liu said, Education plays an important role in growth  of individuals and development of the country. The Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC made it clear that deepening comprehensive reform in education, which pointed the way forward for high-quality education system and will bring about more opportunities to the bilateral educational cooperation.Ambassador Liu encouraged students to study hard to serve as the backbone of the nation and make contributions to Tonga.

    汤方发言代表感谢使馆对汤加教育事业的支持，希望学生们珍惜学习机会，做中汤友谊的维护者和传承者。

    Representatives from Tongan side extended their heartfelt gratitude to the Chinese Embassy for supporting the development of education in Tonga, urged the recipients to make best use of learning opportunities to realize dreams, and to be the envoy for friendship between China and Tonga.

    现场氛围友好热烈，刘大使与胡阿卡瓦梅利库首相向获奖学生颁发助学金及纪念品。

    The reception was conducted in a warm and friendly atmosphere. H.E. Mr. Liu Weimin together with Hon. Hu’akavameiliku presented scholarships and souvenirs to the students.

2024年，经过多轮面试，上海海洋大学录取汤加学生10名，副校长江敏录制视频致辞，欢迎汤加学生抵达上海，开始学习之旅。

In 2024, after multiple rounds of interviews, Shanghai Ocean University admitted 10 Tongan students. Vice President Jiang Min recorded a video speech to welcome Tongan students to Shanghai and start their learning journey.
