2024 SHOU&SHNU SGS Preparatory Study Meeting

   9月29日，上海海洋大学与上海师范大学联合培养上海市政府奖学金预科生在上海师范大学国际学生中心会议室成功举办。此次会议旨在深化两校在留学生教育方面的合作，共同推进上海市政府奖学金预科生的培养工作。

    On September 29th, the jointly cultivated Shanghai Government Scholarship preparatory students of Shanghai Ocean University and Shanghai Normal University were successfully held in the conference room of the International Student Center of Shanghai Normal University. This meeting aims to deepen the cooperation between the two universities in international student education and jointly promote the cultivation of Shanghai Government Scholarship preparatory students.

会议伊始，上海海洋大学留学生工作办公室主任朱章华和上海师范大学国际交流处副处长张向红分别介绍了各自学校在留学生教育培养方面的经验和趋同化培养的现状。随后，双方就预科生培养方案进行了深入交流，共同探讨了如何为预科生提供更优质的教育服务，以确保他们在为期一年的预科学习中能够熟练掌握汉语，并为未来的本科专业学习打下坚实的理工科知识基础。

At the beginning of the meeting, Zhu Zhanghua, director of the International Student Office of Shanghai Ocean University, and Zhang Xianghong, deputy director of the International Exchange Division of Shanghai Normal University, respectively introduced the experience and current situation of convergent cultivation in international student education and cultivation of their respective schools. Subsequently, the two sides had in-depth exchanges on the preparatory student training program and jointly discussed how to provide better educational services for preparatory students to ensure that they can master Chinese proficiently during the one-year preparatory study and lay a solid foundation of science and engineering knowledge for future undergraduate major studies.

在师生互动环节，留办老师们和来自海洋渔业科学与技术系的教师代表胡贯宇与来自斐济、瓦努阿图和汤加的三名国际学生进行了亲切的交流。老师们鼓励学生珍惜预科学习的一年时间，加倍努力，为进入专业学习打下良好基础。三名太平洋岛国的国际学生也分享了来华后的感受，并表示目前适应新环境很顺利，预科学习课程安排紧凑，会努力学习。

In the teacher-student interaction session, teachers from the International Student Office and teacher representative Hu Guanyu from the major Marine Fisheries Science and Technology had a cordial exchange with three international students from Fiji, Vanuatu and Tonga. The teachers encouraged the students to cherish the one-year preparatory study time and redouble their efforts to lay a good foundation for entering major studies. The three international students from Pacific island countries also shared their feelings after coming to China and said that they are currently adapting to the new environment smoothly. The preparatory study curriculum is compact and they will study hard.

此次见面会不仅加深了两校的相互了解，也为预科生们提供了一个了解未来学习和生活环境的机会。双方均表示，未来将继续加强合作，共同努力培养更多优秀的国际人才。

This meeting not only deepened the mutual understanding between the two universities but also provided an opportunity for preparatory students to understand the future learning and living environment. Both sides said that they will continue to strengthen cooperation in the future and jointly strive to cultivate more excellent international talents.
