2025 Shanghai Marine Sustainability Program Opens at SHOU2025年上海暑期学校海洋可持续发展项目开幕
6月3日，由上海市教委主办、我校承办的2025年上海暑期学校海洋可持续发展项目在上海海洋大学临港校区开幕。来自美国蒙大拿州高校的21名师生与我校13名中外师生相聚一堂，共同开启一场海洋可持续发展交流与探索之旅。
On June 3, the 2025 Shanghai Summer School Marine Sustainable Development Program, sponsored by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and hosted by Shanghai Ocean University, officially opened at the university’s Lingang Campus. A total of 21 faculty members and students from universities in Montana, USA, joined 13 Chinese and international students and faculty from our university to embark on a journey of exchange and exploration in marine sustainable development.
开幕式上，校党委副书记潘燕致欢迎词，介绍本期项目融合学术与文化体验，既有海洋可持续发展领域的研讨，也有临港AI智能港科技观摩等城市探索，希望学员们在学习过程中不仅听科学家讲座，还参与海洋可持续发展主题的交流，更要体验非遗制作等中国文化活动，了解上海，感知中国，推动海洋可持续发展理念与跨文化理解的深度结合，增进对多元文化和世界文明的理解。
At the opening ceremony, Ms. Pan Yan, Deputy Party Secretary of the university, delivered a welcome speech. She introduced the program as a blend of academic inquiry and cultural experience, featuring not only seminars on marine sustainability but also urban explorations such as visits to the Lingang AI Smart Port. She expressed her hope that participants would attend lectures by scientists, engage in exchanges focused on marine sustainable development, and also experience Chinese cultural activities such as intangible cultural heritage workshops. Through this, she encouraged participants to understand Shanghai, gain insights into China, promote the integration of marine sustainability concepts with intercultural understanding, and deepen their appreciation of multiculturalism and global civilization.
仪式上，国际交流处副处长、留学生工作办公室主任朱章华和外国语学院党委书记俞渊共同为中美营员授营旗，发展规划处副处长李勇军和后勤处副处长商利新向营员代表赠送营服。随后，全体人员合影留念，中美学员参观学校“双一流”建设成果展。
During the ceremony, Zhu Zhanghua, Deputy Director of the Office of International Exchange and Director of the International Student Office, and Yu Yuan, Party Secretary of the School of Foreign Languages, jointly presented the camp flags to participants from China and the United States. Li Yongjun, Deputy Director of the Development and Planning Office, and Shang Lixin, Deputy Director of the Logistics Office, presented camp uniforms to student representatives. Following the ceremony, all attendees took a group photo, and Chinese and American participants visited the university’s Double First-Class construction achievements exhibition.
上海市国际暑期学校项目是上海市教育委员会建立的上海教育国际合作与交流的窗口之一，旨在搭建与世界上不同语言文化之间的教育、人文交流的平台，吸引更多优秀的高层次的外国学生体验中国、留学上海。上海海洋大学已连续举办多届。
The Shanghai International Summer School is one of the key platforms for international educational cooperation and exchange established by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. The program aims to build bridges for educational and cultural exchanges among people from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds around the world, attracting outstanding international students to experience China and pursue studies in Shanghai. As of this year, Shanghai Ocean University has successfully hosted the program for many years.
