工程学院王芳研究员当选国际组织ISSC技术委员会委员 Researcher Wang Fang elected to ISSC Technical Committee
近日,第22届国际船舶与海洋结构大会(International Ship and Offshore Structures Congress,ISSC 2025)在江苏无锡圆满落幕。在大会期间举行的组织机构选举中,我校工程学院王芳研究员当选为第23届ISSC“III.1 Ultimate Strength”技术委员会委员。
Recently, the 22nd International Ship and Offshore Structures Congress (ISSC 2025) successfully concluded in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. During the organizational elections held at the conference, Researcher Wang Fang from College of Engineering Science and Technology, SHOU was elected as a member of the Technical Committee “III.1 Ultimate Strength” for the 23rd ISSC.
自1961年创立以来,ISSC始终以提升船舶与海洋结构的安全性、可靠性和可持续性为使命,现已发展成为全球船舶与海洋工程领域最具影响力的国际学术组织之一。作为国际海事组织(IMO)和国际船级社协会(IACS)的重要技术智库,ISSC的研究成果以及相关建议,为国际海事法规与行业标准的制定提供了坚实支撑。
Since its founding in 1961, ISSC has consistently pursued its mission of enhancing the safety, reliability, and sustainability of ships and offshore structures. It has evolved into one of the most influential international academic organizations in the global maritime and offshore engineering sector. As a key technical think tank for the IMO and the IACS, ISSC's research findings and related recommendations from the ISSC provide solid support for the development of international maritime regulations and industry standards.
极限强度是评估船舶与海洋结构物在极端载荷下安全性能的核心关键技术,直接关系到生命财产安全和海洋环境保护。王芳研究员长期致力于该领域的教学与科研工作,取得了丰硕的成果。王芳研究员的当选,将为我校相关学科的国际化交流与合作开辟更广阔的空间,对提升学科国际声誉和人才培养质量具有重要意义
Ultimate strength is a core key technology for evaluating the safety performance of ships and offshore structures under extreme loads, directly impacting the safety of lives and property as well as marine environmental protection. Researcher Wang Fang has long been dedicated to teaching and research in this field, achieving fruitful results. Her election will open broader avenues for international exchange and cooperation in relevant disciplines at SHOU, holding significant importance for enhancing the international reputation of these disciplines and improving the quality of talent cultivation.
