At the beginning of the session, teacher Dai gave a detailed explanation focusing on the core requirements for undergraduate exams at SHOU, helping international students establish a clear cognitive framework for exams. She emphasized that final exams account for a very high proportion in academic evaluation and are a key link in measuring learning outcomes; international students must attach great importance to them and are strictly prohibited from being absent from exams.
In response to exam-related questions that international students might have, teacher Dai answered them one by one:
1、Regarding make-up exams and deferred exams, she clarified the application requirements, handling procedures, and time nodes, ensuring that students can complete academic assessments in accordance with regulations under special circumstances.
2、In terms of handling grade disputes, she detailed the specific steps for grade review, thoroughly explained the direct connection between academic performance and eligibility for scholarawards, as well as the university’s regulations on academic actions such as academic warnings and withdrawal. This helped international students deeply understand the importance of maintaining good academic performance.
In addition, teacher Dai specifically recommended three online platforms crucial for international students’ academic studies:
1、The Xuexitong platform, which contains various course resources and academic requirements, serving as an important tool for daily learning and assignment submission.
2、The Undergraduate Teaching Information Website of the Division of Teaching Affairs, which updates key information such as teaching notices and course syllabi in real time. As a core channel for international students to obtain the latest teaching updates promptly, teacher Dai reminded students to log in and check regularly to avoid missing important content.
3、The SHOU URP platform, through which students can query personalized information such as class schedules, exam times and venues, and academic grades, providing convenience for daily study planning.
Next, Mrs. Shi from the International Student Office conducted an on-the-spot assessment for international students through interactive questioning, focusing on key aspects of the examination requirements. From the resit application process to crucial steps in requesting a review of results, and extending to the functionalities of various platforms, Ms Shi's questions precisely covered core knowledge points. The international students responded actively, demonstrating excellent comprehension of the lecture content while further consolidating their understanding and retention of the examination requirements.

After the experience-sharing session, Ms. Liu from the International Student Office interpreted two important pieces of content closely related to international students’ academic studies for them.
On one hand, Ms. Liu gave a detailed introduction and explanation of the Notice on CSCA. She reminded the relevant international students to make preparations in advance, study earnestly for the test, and ensure they pass it smoothly.
In addition, Ms. Liu also specifically notified them of the relevant policies regarding scholarship adjustments, with emphasis on the need for international students majoring in International Economics and Trade to pay attention to this change: if a student fails a course, their scholarship level will be reduced accordingly. This policy adjustment aims to further encourage international students majoring in International Economics and Trade to attach greater importance to their studies, take each course seriously, devote themselves to learning with a more positive attitude, improve their academic performance through hard work, and strive for a higher-level scholarship, thereby laying a solid foundation for their personal academic development.
Finally, Ms. Liu stated that the team of the International Student Office has always been fully committed to supporting international students in their studies and daily lives. With a strong sense of responsibility and mission, the office consistently helps international students solve practical problems, allowing them to feel the university’s warmth and care while studying in a foreign country.
