Held the Intl Symposium on Pacific Tuna and Fisheries Science
10月8日至10日,由上海海洋大学、太平洋共同体(SPC)、澳大利亚国家海洋资源与安全中心(ANCORS)联合主办的“太平洋金枪鱼及其渔业科学国际研讨会”在上海成功召开。本次研讨会汇聚了来自全球各地的四十余位致力于太平洋渔业科学领域的专家学者,围绕太平洋金枪鱼渔业资源的可持续利用展开为期三天的深入交流。
From 8 to 10 October, the International Symposium on Pacific Tuna and Fisheries Science, jointly organised by Shanghai Ocean University, the Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC), and the Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources and Security (ANCORS), was successfully convened in Shanghai. The symposium brought together over forty experts and scholars from around the world dedicated to the field of Pacific fisheries science, facilitating three days of in-depth discussions centred on the sustainable utilisation of Pacific tuna fishery resources.
开幕式上,上海海洋大学副校长罗轶代表学校致欢迎辞,表示愿以此次研讨会为新的契机,进一步巩固彼此友谊、拓展合作空间、共享研究成果,共同为太平洋乃至全球金枪鱼资源的可持续利用注入新的智慧和力量。SPC、ANCORS代表及所罗门群岛国立大学副校长分别致辞,共同拉开会议序幕。
At the opening ceremony, Luo Yi, Vice-President of SHOU, delivered a welcome address on behalf of the university. He expressed the university's willingness to seize this symposium as a fresh opportunity to further consolidate mutual friendship, expand avenues for cooperation, and share research findings. Together, they would inject new wisdom and strength into the sustainable utilisation of tuna resources across the Pacific and indeed the entire globe. Representatives from the SPC and ANCORS, alongside the Vice-President of the Solomon Islands National University, each delivered addresses, jointly commencing the proceedings.

本次研讨会聚焦于太平洋金枪鱼和金枪鱼渔业相关的自然和社会科学问题,旨在从生物、生态和社会角度建立科学合作与理解。会议期间,10多位中外专家围绕金枪鱼生物学与生态学、金枪鱼资源评估与管理策略评价以及太平洋金枪鱼渔业的全球政策驱动因素三大核心主题作了报告与交流,系统梳理了从基础研究到管理实践,再到全球治理的完整知识链条,形成了一系列具有前瞻性的共识观点。

本次研讨会的优秀论文将被汇编成题为“太平洋金枪鱼渔业科学与全球政策驱动因素 (Pacific Tuna Fisheries Science and Global Policy Drivers)”的特刊,在全球顶尖学术出版平台Nature Partner Journals系列发表。该特刊旨在以实际行动支持并深化与联合国可持续发展目标SDG 14(水下生物)和SDG 13(气候行动)相关的研究。
Outstanding papers from this symposium will be compiled into a special issue entitled Pacific Tuna Fisheries Science and Global Policy Drivers, to be published within the globally renowned Nature Partner Journals series. This special issue aims to actively support and deepen research aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals SDG 14 (Life Below Water) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).

Building upon this symposium as a starting point, Shanghai Ocean University, the SPC and ANCORS jointly propose establishing a stable and long-term international cooperation mechanism. This initiative will continuously expand scientific research collaboration and joint talent cultivation programmes, with plans to incorporate additional domestic and international institutions. It aims to foster deep integration between natural and social sciences, thereby providing systematic scientific support for constructing a sustainable Pacific fisheries governance system.
