The institution contributed insights on digital empowerment for global fisheries at the 2025 Smart Fisheries and Aquaculture Dialogue 学校在2025智慧渔业交流会上献智全球渔业“数字赋能”


116日,2025智慧农业博览会期间,由农业农村部对外经济合作中心主办的2025智慧渔业交流会在广西南宁举办。上海海洋大学作为支持单位受邀参会,副校长江敏应邀出席开幕式并发表致辞,多位教授主持重要环节、分享学术成果,充分展现学校在智慧渔业领域的影响力。

On 6 November, during the 2025 Smart Agriculture Expo, the 2025 Smart Fisheries and Aquaculture Dialogue was held in Nanning, Guangxi, organised by the Foreign Economic Cooperation Centre of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Shanghai Ocean University attended as a supporting institution, with Vice-Chancellor Jiang Min invited to address the opening ceremony. Several professors chaired key sessions and shared academic achievements, fully demonstrating the university's influence in the field of smart fisheries.

致辞中,江敏介绍了学校秉持开放合作理念,深度参与“南南合作”与“三方合作”,与全球南方国家及世界各国科研机构、高校、企业建立广泛合作网络的实践成果。她强调,在全球人口增长、气候变化与资源约束的多重挑战下,推动水产养殖向“智慧渔业”转型,是提升养殖效率、可控性与管理精准度,保障优质动物蛋白稳定供给的关键,更是回应全球粮食安全关切、践行“蓝色转型”战略的核心路径。

In her address, Jiang Min outlined SHOU's achievements in upholding an open and collaborative ethos, actively engaging in South-South cooperation and trilateral partnerships, and establishing extensive cooperative networks with research institutions, universities, and enterprises across the Global South and worldwide.She emphasised that amid multiple challenges including global population growth, climate change and resource constraints, advancing the transformation of aquaculture towards smart fisheries is crucial for enhancing farming efficiency, controllability and management precision, thereby ensuring a stable supply of high-quality animal protein. This represents a core pathway for addressing global food security concerns and implementing the blue transition strategy.

会议期间,上海海洋大学信息学院党委书记曹守启教授主持“数字技术与水产养殖深度融合”圆桌论坛,聚焦技术落地与产业赋能展开深度研讨。

During the conference, Professor Cao Shouqi, Party Secretary of the College of Information Technology SHOU, chaired the roundtable forum on Deep Integration of Digital Technology and Aquaculture, where participants engaged in in-depth discussions centred on technological implementation and industrial empowerment.

水产与生命学院罗国芝教授发表“中国小棚与循环水对虾养殖现状及趋势”主题演讲,分享中国特色养殖技术的创新应用与发展方向。

Professor Luo Guozhi from the College of Fisheries and Life Science delivered a keynote address entitled Current Status and Trends in Small-Scale Shrimp Farming and Recirculating Aquaculture Systems in China, sharing insights into the innovative application and developmental trajectory of aquaculture techniques with distinctive Chinese characteristics.

本次交流会吸引近20个国家的代表、国际组织官员,以及国内外农业渔业主管部门、高校、科研机构、企业代表共约180人参会。与会嘉宾围绕数字科技赋能水产养殖、智慧渔业驱动跨境贸易创新等核心议题深入交流,集中展示了智慧渔业在行业中应用的显著成效。会议搭建起高效国际交流合作平台,助力中国渔业技术与经验走向世界,为全球智慧渔业高质量发展贡献“中国方案”。

This dialogue attracted approximately 180 participants, including representatives from nearly 20 countries, officials from international organisations, and delegates from domestic and international agricultural and fisheries authorities, universities, research institutions, and enterprises.Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on core topics including digital technology empowering aquaculture and smart fisheries driving cross-border trade innovation, collectively showcasing the remarkable achievements of smart fisheries applications within the industry. The conference established an efficient international platform for exchange and cooperation, facilitating the global dissemination of Chinese fisheries technology and expertise while contributing a Chinese solution to the high-quality development of global smart fisheries.
