埃及苏伊士大学Osama Kaddour教授率队访问工程学院

4月22日，埃及苏伊士大学卓越中心负责人Osama Kaddour教授率领代表团到访我校工程学院，双方围绕海洋工程装备、海洋渔业装备、集成电路及微电子等领域的深化合作展开深入磋商，并慰问了我校在读埃及硕士、博士研究生。我校国际交流处处长李娟英、教师施佳懿，工程学院院长王芳、党委副书记李志强、副院长刘雨青、张俊，以及学院各重点科研方向教师代表、在读埃及留学生出席本次交流会议。

On April 22, a delegation led by Professor Osama Kaddour, Head of the Center of Excellence at Suez University, Egypt, visited the College of Engineering at Shanghai Ocean University (SHOU). The two sides held in-depth consultations on deepening cooperation in areas such as marine engineering equipment, marine fisheries equipment, integrated circuits, and microelectronics. The delegation also extended warm regards to Egyptian master's and doctoral students currently studying at SHOU.

 In-depth Consultations and Talent Cultivation

During the meeting, Professor Wang Fang, Dean of the College of Engineering Science and Technology, extended a warm welcome to Professor Osama Kaddour and his delegation. She highly commended the rigorous academic attitude and outstanding research capabilities demonstrated by Egyptian international students during their time at SHOU. Furthermore, she put forward specific proposals regarding the deepening of future cooperation models and the optimization of joint talent cultivation programs between the two universities.

Osama Kaddour教授对王芳院长的建议给予积极回应，高度认可我校对埃及留学生的培养成效，同时对在我校就读的埃及学生提出更高科研要求，鼓励其深耕专业领域、提升成果质量，争取获得我校导师的进一步认可与指导。此外，埃方代表团提出，在双方现有合作基础稳固且成效良好的前提下，希望进一步推动苏伊士大学博士研究生赴我校工程学院开展博士后研究工作，深化双方人才培养与科研合作层次。

Professor Osama Kaddour responded positively to Dean Wang Fang's suggestions and highly recognized SHOU's achievements in cultivating Egyptian international students. Concurrently, he set higher research standards for the Egyptian students studying at SHOU, encouraging them to immerse themselves deeply in their specialized fields, improve the quality of their research outputs, and strive for further recognition and guidance from their SHOU supervisors.

 Additionally, the Egyptian delegation expressed a strong desire to elevate the level of talent cultivation and scientific research cooperation. Given the solid foundation and fruitful results of the existing partnership, they proposed to further facilitate doctoral graduates from Suez University coming to SHOU’s College of Engineering to conduct postdoctoral research.

本次交流会议氛围亲切、沟通坦诚，达成多项共识，取得了丰硕成果。Osama Kaddour教授代表苏伊士大学渔业工程学院，诚挚邀请我校工程学院领导及教师择机赴埃及回访，进一步夯实合作基础、拓展合作空间。会议结束后，双方代表团成员及参会人员合影留念。

Fruitful Outcomes and Future Outlook

The exchange meeting was conducted in a warm, friendly, and candid atmosphere, resulting in multiple points of consensus and fruitful outcomes. On behalf of the Faculty of Fisheries Engineering at Suez University, Professor Osama Kaddour extended a cordial invitation to the leadership and faculty of SHOU's College of Engineering to pay a return visit to Egypt at an appropriate time, aiming to further solidify the foundation and expand the scope of their cooperation.

Following the conclusion of the meeting, members of both delegations and all attendees took a group commemorative photo.
