About the College — Where Languages Meet the Ocean

Founded in 2006, the College of Foreign Languages offers undergraduate programmes in English, Japanese and Korean (the English program has enrolled students since 1989). The College runs two master's programs and five teaching departments, including a dedicated Chinese teaching unit serving international students.

About the Program

A professional master's program training high-level translators and interpreters for the global language services industry, covering translation practice, conference interpreting and modern translation technology.

Entry Requirements

Academic  Bachelor degree or above, aged 30 or younger

Chinese Proficiency  Chinese proficiency (HSK 5 or above) suited to Chinese-taught graduate study

Scholarship Opportunity: SHOU University Scholarship · Type A

Outstanding applicants to the program are supported by the SHOU University Scholarship Type A, covering full tuition, international student apartment accommodation, monthly living allowance (Master 800RMB) and medical insurance.

About the Program

An English-taught academic master's program centered on Area Studies, covering regional languages, cultures, politics and economies, with a special focus on ocean civilization and global governance. Research is supported by the Center for Translation and Cross-cultural Studies, the Corpus Research Center, the International Fisheries Economy and Media Center, and Research Center of International Fisheries Compliance

Entry Requirements

Academic  Bachelor degree or above, aged 30 or younger

English Proficiency  English proficiency (IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL 80 or above ) suited to English-taught graduate study
