SHOU and HuaqiaoU host a meeting for CSC preparatory students
9月8日下午，上海海洋大学留学生工作办公室主任朱章华、外国语学院书记兼院长俞渊一行4人，专程前往华侨大学开展联合培养中国政府奖学金预科生见面会。此次会议旨在进一步深化两校合作，凝聚培养共识，推动中国政府奖学金预科生培养工作提质增效。
On the afternoon of September 8th, a 4-person delegation from Shanghai Ocean University, including Zhu Zhanghua, Director of the International Student Office, and Yu Yuan, Secretary and Dean of the College of Foreign Languages, made a special trip to Huaqiao University to hold a meeting for the jointly cultivated Chinese Government Scholarship Preparatory Program students. The purpose of this meeting is to further deepen the cooperation between the two universities, consolidate consensus on talent cultivation, and promote the improvement of quality and efficiency in the cultivation of Chinese Government Scholarship Preparatory Program students. 会议伊始，华侨大学华文学院院长、预科教育学院院长胡建刚、副院长谢伟、来华留学预科教研室负责人赵毅飞分别介绍了该校预科教育整体情况、课程体系、师资配置、教学管理及培养成果。在随后的师生见面环节，我校教师代表与5名来自汤加和斐济的国际学生亲切互动。学生们踊跃展示自己来华一周学习的笔记和作业，并表达了对来华留学的期待，询问了未来本科学业要求等问题。教师们耐心细致地逐一解答，同时鼓励学生珍惜预科学习机会，为后续本科专业学习打好基础，现场交流气氛热烈融洽。 At the beginning of the meeting, Hu Jiangang, Dean of the College of Chinese Language and Culture and Dean of the Preparatory Education College of Huaqiao University, Xie Wei, Vice Dean, and Zhao Yifei, Head of the Preparatory Teaching and Research Section for International Students in China, respectively introduced the overall situation of the university's preparatory education, curriculum system, faculty allocation, teaching management and cultivation achievements. In the subsequent teacher-student meeting session, the teacher representatives of our university had a cordial interaction with 5 international students from Tonga and Fiji. The students actively showed their notes and assignments from their first week of study in China, expressed their expectations for studying in China, and asked questions about the future undergraduate academic requirements. The teachers patiently and carefully answered each question one by one, and at the same time encouraged the students to cherish the opportunity of preparatory study and lay a solid foundation for their subsequent undergraduate professional studies. The on-site communication atmosphere was warm and harmonious. 
此次见面会不仅深化了两校在预科生联合培养领域的了解与共识，也为国际学生提前熟悉未来学习生活环境搭建了桥梁。双方均表示，未来将加强合作，共同为培养来华留学生贡献力量。 This meeting not only deepened the understanding and consensus between the two universities in the field of joint cultivation of preparatory students, but also built a bridge for international students to familiarize themselves with the future study and living environment in advance. It adopts the intensive + accelerated Chinese teaching model, and creates an immersive Chinese learning environment through comprehensive teaching, in-depth explanation with more practice, personalized tutoring and small-class teaching. It has established a dual-track curriculum system of Chinese language teaching + professional preparation, with personalized programs for different directions of liberal arts and sciences, and also integrates cultural immersion activities and smart education concepts. For six consecutive years, the university has achieved a 100% pass rate in the unified graduation examination of international students preparatory education for Chinese Government Scholarship undergraduate program, and has sent a large number of high-quality students with excellent Chinese language and professional foundations to universities at home and abroad.
