On the afternoon of September 17, 2025, a special educational lecture on entry-exit safety and insurance policies for international new students was successfully held in Room 102 of the Student Activity Center. This lecture on entry-exit and insurance policies was jointly organized by the International Student Office, the Student Affairs Office, and the College of Graduate and invited police officers from the Shanghai Immigration Office, teachers from SHOU security office, and representatives from Unichina International Insurance Brokers Co., Ltd. to give presentations. The lecture emphasized that insurance is an essential safeguard for international students' study and life in China. All students are required to purchase insurance on time to ensure they can receive timely help and compensation in case of emergencies.
In the section on entry-exit policy education and campus safety regulations, a police officer from the Shanghai Immigration Office elaborated on key matters of great concern to international students, such as visa application, residence permit application, accommodation registration, passport information updates, and the legal consequences of illegal residence and illegal internships, based on the core content of the “Law of the People's Republic of China on the Entry and Exit Administration.” Through analysis of real cases, the policer officer reminded students to strictly abide by Chinese laws and regulations, enhance their self-protection awareness, and ensure their legal, safe, and orderly study and life in China. Teacher Quan from the Security Office elaborated in detail to the students on common safety hazards both on and off campus and the corresponding measures, covering topics such as campus security, fire safety, laboratory safety, and prevention of telecom fraud, by combining recent real cases from universities.
