斐济苏瓦国际学校师生代表团到访我校 Delegation from Fiji Suva International School Visits SHOU

  9月15日，上海海洋大学热情迎接斐济苏瓦国际学校师生代表团到访。上海海洋大学副校长江敏、留学生工作办公室主任、国际交流处副处长朱章华及海洋生物资源与管理学院领导共同出席欢迎仪式。双方在海资学院357会议室举行友好交流，活动旨在增进斐济师生对上海海洋大学办学特色、学科建设以及留学生在华学习生活的了解，进一步促进中斐两国的文化互鉴与教育合作。

On 15 September, SHOU passionately welcomed a delegation of teachers and students from Fiji Suva International School.Vice-president Jiang Min, Director of the International Student Office and Deputy Director of the International Exchange Office Zhu Zhanghua, alongside leadership from the College of Marine Living Resource Science and Management, jointly attended the welcoming ceremony. Both parties held a friendly exchange in Room 357 of the College of Marine Living Resource Science and Management. The event aimed to enhance the Fijian delegation's understanding of SHOU's distinctive educational approach, disciplinary development, and the academic and living experiences of international students in China, thereby furthering cultural exchange and educational cooperation between China and Fiji.

  学科底蕴厚积薄发，海洋特色尽展无遗。交流会上，海资学院吉利老师以系统深入的介绍，生动勾勒出海洋生物资源与管理学院在学科建设、专业特色与教学成果上的卓越画卷，充分彰显了学校在海洋科技、远洋渔业等前沿领域的雄厚实力与独特魅力。

The profound accumulation of academic expertise has culminated in remarkable achievements, fully showcasing the distinctive marine character. At the exchange meeting, teacher Thierry from the College of Marine Living Resource Science and Management, delivered a systematic and in-depth presentation, vividly outlining the college's outstanding accomplishments in disciplinary development, specialised programmes, and teaching outcomes. This presentation powerfully demonstrated the SHOU's formidable strength and unique appeal in cutting-edge fields such as marine science and technology, and distant-water fisheries.

  留学视角真切生动，海大生活触手可及。海资学院留学生代表伊利莫娓娓道来，以其在校学习的丰富课程、浸润其中的校园文化及日常生活的点滴体验，为斐济学子呈现了一幅真实而鲜活的海大留学图景，提供了宝贵的第一手参考。   

The perspective of international students proved vivid and authentic, while life at SHOU became tangibly accessible. International student representative Ilimo from the College of Marine Living Resource Science and Management eloquently recounted her experiences, painting a genuine and vibrant picture of studying at the university through her diverse coursework, immersion in campus culture, and daily life. This provided invaluable first-hand insights for the Fijian students.

  友谊之桥跨越重洋，互动环节情意交融。斐济苏瓦国际学校副校长Jesse先生深情致辞，对我校的盛情接待表示衷心感谢，并殷切期望以此访为新起点，持续深化两国青年在教育与文化领域的双向奔赴。社会协同与校友事务处处长江卫平代表学校与斐济苏瓦国际学校交换了满载敬意的礼物，将友好瞬间定格在庄重一刻；海资学院党委书记郑卫东向斐济学生们赠送了承载着海大情谊的纪念品；斐济学子则回馈以热情奔放的传统舞蹈，瞬间点燃现场气氛，友好情谊在欢声笑语中深深交融。

 A bridge of friendship spanning the oceans, the interactive session was filled with warmth and mutual affection. Mr Jesse, Deputy Principal of Fiji Suva International School, delivered a heartfelt address, expressing sincere gratitude for the SHOU's gracious hospitality. He earnestly hoped this visit would mark a new beginning, deepening the two nations' youth exchange in education and culture.Jiang Weiping, Director of the Social Collaboration and Alumni Affairs Office, exchanged gifts laden with mutual respect on behalf of SHOU and Suva International School, immortalising the moment of goodwill in solemn ceremony.Zheng Weidong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Marine Living Resource Science and Management, presented Fijian students with commemorative gifts embodying SHOU's goodwill. In return, the Fijian students performed a spirited traditional dance, instantly igniting the atmosphere as bonds of friendship deepened amidst laughter and joy.

  龙舟竞渡激扬青春，文化体验共结同心。会后，代表团一行兴致盎然地移步龙舟码头，与上海海洋大学龙舟队携手体验这项充满魅力的传统水上运动。桨声起伏，笑语欢腾，双方青年在协力拼搏中深刻感知中华传统文化的韵味，友谊之舟在合作的波浪中扬帆远航。活动尾声，一张满载欢笑的合影将这份美好情谊定格为永恒。

Dragon boat racing ignited youthful vigour, while cultural experiences forged shared bonds. Following the meeting, the delegation proceeded with great enthusiasm to the dragon boat dock, joining forces with SHOU's dragon boat team to experience this captivating traditional water sport. Amidst the rhythmic paddle strokes and joyous laughter, young participants from both sides deeply appreciated the essence of Chinese traditional culture through collaborative effort, as the vessel of friendship set sail upon waves of cooperation.As the event drew to a close, a group photograph brimming with laughter immortalised this beautiful bond.

  访问成果丰硕圆满，合作基石坚如磐石。此次访问不仅为斐济学生打开了一扇直观感知中国高等教育的窗口，更成功筑起了两校间相互理解与信任的坚固桥梁，为未来拓展更广阔、更深层的教育合作奠定了坚实基础，预示着中斐教育交流的蓝图将愈加绚烂。

The visit yielded fruitful outcomes and solidified an unshakeable foundation for cooperation. This exchange not only provided Fijian students with a tangible window into Chinese higher education but also successfully built a robust bridge of mutual understanding and trust between the two institutions. It laid a solid groundwork for expanding broader and deeper educational collaboration in the future, heralding an increasingly vibrant blueprint for Sino-Fijian educational exchange.
